This dress is gold metal chain with black leather (probably faux leather) threaded through the center of the chain links. It weighs about 4 lbs, I really feel like a warrior wearing this. 😆 There is plenty of room for me, at a size 4/6, to add all kinds of different options underneath. The waist closure can give about 4 or 5 inches of leeway. I am so glad I bought this! I actually believe I will get a lot of use out of this because I just wore it to a formal gala and it can also be an amazing piece for costumes. Enjoy!
