I have to make a second review of this to show more photos of the dress I received. Especially where it fell apart so easily and the spots that have visible hot glue masses.
This is my fourth time writing this review and Mew Mews Fashion keeps deleting it. I purchased two items from this website. This dress and the Charnita V Jumpsuit. This dress was originally $335 when I purchased it (they have raised the price since then) and for the Charnita V Jumpsuit I spent $249.90. Altogether that is $584.90, which is a lot of money and I spent that much for an upcoming wedding event.
I received the Jumpsuit on Saturday (08/16/2025) and I received the dress on Monday (08/18/2025). When I say that I am shocked by the quality of my expensive purchases, but I’m also now appalled by how Mew Mews Fashion is handling this situation.
Both items I have received are completely different from what has been advertised on this website. Both items were made with cheap mesh, cheap plastic, and hot glue. Actual HOT GLUE. This dress in particular has completely fell apart when I barely grabbed it out of the box it was shipped in. In all honesty, the quality is so horrendous that it’s comparable to Dollar Store costumes.
When I emailed Mew Mews Fashion about these issues it came down to this. I was not getting a refund, I was not getting online credit (despite what has been advertised on their Return Policy), and they were not issuing me a Return Mailing Label to return these items; even going so far as the link to retrieve a Return Label on their website DOES NOT WORK at all.
In the emails I have received they will not do anything, but provide a 40% off coupon only if I keep both items, which is very insulting.
They have also stated and retracted, all in the same sentence, that they know their items were made so cheaply, and using hot glue to hold their clothes together, yet I must’ve repaired the items myself the very same day they came in the mail. Complete gaslighting within the same sentence. I have the email of that.
They have also accused me of removing the tags and labels, which is another reason why they will not issue a Return Mailing Label. For such terrible items, why would anyone in their right mind take off the tags? Especially being so disappointed with what has been received?
For what I have spent it’s more than disappointing, it’s stomach wrenching to spend this much and for this to happen. Treatment from this company and all.
Please be smarter than myself and think twice before purchasing, not only this dress, but from this website in general. Not only is the prices a rip off, but it is so fake that all I can say is that it’s cheap. If anything, please do not buy anything at all.
This dress looks amazing in person! I can NOT wait to wear it on my next red carpet! Only thing a few of the pieces fell off so be mindful of that but its GORGEOUS
